Refund policy
Returns:
We gladly accept requests for a return within 2 weeks of the date of delivery to the customer. Return requests must be emailed to hello@tackandtweed.com. The item(s) must arrive back in the same condition sent with the initial tags attached.
If you are requesting a return outside of this window, the item does not have original tags, has been damaged, or has excessive use no refund will be given. However, the item may be eligible for reconsignment. You can reach out to Tack and Tweed at hello@tackandtweed.com for details.
Request a return by emailing hello@tackandtweed.com, and we will provide a return request. Returns can take up to 7 business days to be refunded to the original form of payment. Any special requests or needs, please contact us.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
Refunds (if applicable)
To be fair to our consignor's property and to be eligible for a full refund, returned items must be received within the return window, and in the same condition in which they were shipped. Items that show additional wear, use, damage, staining, odors, dirt, pet hair, alterations, or other changes in condition beyond what was disclosed at the time of purchase may be subject to a handling and restoration fee of up to 25% of the purchase price.
If a returned item is deemed unsellable or significantly different from its original condition, the return may be denied. In such cases, the item may be returned to the customer at their expense.
We carefully document and photograph all items prior to shipment to ensure fair and consistent evaluation of returns.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. You can choose to receive your refund back to the original form of payment, or in store credit with a small thank you bonus ($5).
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately closeout sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at hello@tackandtweed.com and send your item to: 255 Quaker Road (Cottage) Chappaqua NY 10514, United States.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.
Shipping
To return your product, you should mail your product to: 255 Quaker Road (Cottage), Chappaqua NY 10514, United States. Please be sure to send us tracking information so that we can ensure receipt.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on closeout sale items or gift cards.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
